Three-quarter house offers a structured, transitional living program for adult men recovering from alcohol and drug addictions. Residents are required to participate in recovery support groups. The National Alliance for Recovery Residences is an organization that aims to educate on sober living homes while also providing support for those running them. One of the ways it has done so is to create what it calls a recovery residence — a single term that represents transitional living. Each Review Hope House has a dedicated house manager whose responsibility is to ensure the well being of the house occupants.
The programs within them also differ from one location to the next. Most often, a sober home will help you by providing on-site or nearby 12-step programs. They also help you to develop life skills to help you cope with stressors around you. A less-than-desirable environment exposes someone in recovery to the potential triggers that can lead to relapse. A study published in the Journal of Psychoactive Drugs by the Alcohol Research Group Public Health Institute showcased the importance of social and environmental factors in recovery.

A monitored location is one step up and has a house manager present who sets rules and procedures and holds individuals accountable. These can be slightly larger and are sometimes in apartment complexes. However, most halfway homes have the goal of supporting you to recovery through a structured environment.
The relationships that are formed are strong and often continue after residents leave Stepping Stones. Mental health issues and substance abuse are often intermingled issues. We offer case management and outpatient services through local providers such as Wellstone and grant programs to ensure long-term recovery. Additionally, for those residents on Medication Assisted Treatment, Stepping Stones offers housing and recovery support services in an ethical and controlled setting.

If you are able to be a part of a recovery residence, it will be important to understand what type of environment is present. Rather, it is an association whose members operate such programs. We’ve already pre-filled as much information as we know about the house. We don’t share the house manager contact information or address on this website for privacy reasons and only use the contact information for sending referrals and the address for verifying purposes. However, in a sober home, you work with a professional who helps to keep you focused and provides ongoing relapse prevention education. You need to communicate where you are and what you’re doing so someone knows how to help you if you need it.
Finding Your Initial Care at FHE Health
All with at least one year of sobriety, the house managers show a commitment to working a 12-step program in their daily lives, and demonstrate through their actions that they can lead by example. On March 1, 1996, Callan came to Minnesota ready to get sober. He went through extended primary treatment, a halfway house, sober house, and the apartment that started the network of sober houses that Callan runs today. He found that by sharing his story with newcomers that he was able to touch lives and help others, just as he had been helped when new to recovery.
Additionally, there are two recovery-oriented meetings including a 12-Step group and a literature study. These recovery meetings are open to all same-sex houses and residents are encouraged to invite their sponsors. This is also a forum where alumni often visit and give their stories or offer to sponsor a newcomer. When you join Stepping Stones, you are becoming part of a large recovery network. By design our homes are warm, welcoming and safe, nurturing our recovery family.
Our mission is to provide safe, supportive sober living communities for those in recovery. If you are in drug rehab right now or entering it through FHE Health, your goal Review Review Hope House should be to focus on your current needs. From there, our team will work with you to choose the right type of transitional living for your next step.
